RAVENS VS FALCONS
This is an interesting one! You have two great Running Backs going against the 6th and 7th best teams against the RB. In the last four games, both Rice and Turner have averaged over 14 pts/game. But, will they be able to do that Thursday?
You have the one of the Top Receivers in the game going against a teams that is the 9th worst against the WR (Ravens). But, that Receiver didn't practice on Tuesday and just had his worst game of the year - our man, Roddy White. And if he doesn't play, or doesn't play like Roddy can, the other two options have not been spectacular. Last week, Michael Jenkins had two catches for 55 yards and Brian Finnernan had 3 - 26! So, you might think the Tight Ends would be a nice play. Last week, the Falcons had two - Michael Palmer and that other guy - in the Top Ten. However, the Ravens are the second best team against the TE!
When the Ravens have the ball, it will the Anquan Boldin show! The Falcons are the fourth worst team against the WR. Now, I know AB (not his official nickname) has had a few clunkers (including last week), but he's also had to occasional 32 or 15 pointer. And with Derick Mason picking up his game (10-4-10 pts in his last three) that may pull some people away from AB.
Both QBs have shown they can get their guys the ball. Matt Ryan is the 8th ranked Quarterback (I know, I'm shocked too!). He's had double digit points every week except the two when he scored 8 and 9. Joe Flacco is just as hot. In the last six games, he's averaging over 17 pt/game. However, he does have a 69.8 QB rating on the road vs. 113.7 at home. Ravens a lot tougher against the QB though!
So, this sets up as a very interesting match-up. Lot of nice fantasy plays here....and with the Falcons being 4-0 at home, I'll take them.
